After many years in the private and non-profit sector, Marjorie Weingrow came to the University of California, Berkeley in 1999 and launched the very successful SAGE (Student Achievement Guided by Experience) Scholars Program, a leadership and professional development program. Her work focuses on professional skills development for low income underrepresented students of all majors.

She created a career research and professional skills development class at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, where SAGE Scholars participate in experiential learning in areas such as presentation skills, entrepreneurship, professional writing, networking techniques, professional etiquette, team building, cultural sensitivity training, and other critical professional skills. Marjorie also has extensive experience working with leaders in the area of human potential using experiential, rather than traditional theoretical practices.

Marjorie is a sought after presenter and workshop leader in the area of leadership development and has been a keynote speaker at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club and the Craigslist Foundation Conference. She has been featured on television’s ABC News, and Beyond the Headlines, as well being featured in the SF Chronicle and East Bay Business Times. Most recently Marjorie Weingrow was recognized on the CBS News as a recipient of the Jefferson Award.

Marjorie Weingrow brings valuable experience and knowledge to academia as well as providing valuable insights to businesses in better preparing their workforce. She received certification from the Leadership Training division of the Coaches Training Institute and actively works with over 25 executive and life coaches. Marjorie also provides individual coaching and workshops to professionals to help them with career transitions in addition to helping them attain their leadership goals.

Marjorie’s passion is working with people to help them excel in their careers in doing the work they love.
