Working approximately 30 hours per week and earning $6.50 per hour, 16-year-old Gurpreet thought he was at the top of the world. His fist job gave him the money to buy the $100 jeans he had wanted. But it didn’t stop there. He started spending every dime he got a hold on. “I simply thought of it as money-in/money-out,” says the now 21-year old SAGE Scholar.

Growing up we dream of becoming doctors, lawyers, astronauts. In high school we get asked what we want to be when we grow up, and in college we are treated as grown ups who are supposed to have a clear idea where our fields of studies will take us.  At Berkeley we are asked from day one what we are majoring in and what we want to do with that degree. Loretta Greycloud was not the exception, yet she had SAGE to help her on her discovery path.
