Daniel is an intended Business major from Montebello, California. He is pursuing a career in investment banking, and already has extensive work experience. Daniel was the SAGE Mentor Coordinator. He is interning at Merrill Lynch.

Ginelle is majoring in Social Welfare. She is a mother and an active member in the Cal Student Parent Center. She has interned at Provident Credit Union in the HR Department and at Patelco Credit Union in their Marketing Dept.

Adley is a Public Health major who strives to constantly challenge himself in order to reach his full potential. He has extensive work experience in various fields that has allowed him to formulate his career interest in professional coaching and physical therapy.

Jacob is an English and Psychology double major. He has outstanding writing skills and extensive mentoring experience. He is enrolled in graduate and honors writing classes. He hopes to become an English Professor.

Hamed is majoring in Business Administration. He has been chosen for the Global Management Certificate from Haas and he will be at Shanghai’s Fudan University in the spring of 2008.

Amanda is an Economics major, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and is a mother of two. She interned at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories Office of Workforce Diversity. She is interning with Patelco Credit Union in their finance department.

Vemetria is majoring in Sociology. She has extensive experience working while going to school. Vemetria is interested in a career in marketing, or communications and is interning at Provident Credit Union.

Jerry Allen Kim

Jerry is a Mechanical Engineering major. He is not only fluent in English, French and Korean, he is experienced in multiple computer languages as well. Jerry interned at the United States Department of Agriculture’s Technology Transfer Division.

 

Hilda Blanco

Hilda is a Social Welfare major who already has extensive experience in business and marketing. She is interning at Patelco Credit Union working with their VP of Strategic Objectives. She will be studying abroad in Costa Rica in Spring 2008.

Mayra Betancourt

Mayra is Molecular Environmental Biology major. She intends to pursue a career in medicine and biological research. Mayra has excellent communication and time management skills. She is also apart of the DULCE organization which spreads awareness about diabetes to the community.

Sabrina is an Economics major who has extensive work experience in research, public policy and education. She is interested in international affairs, community reinvestment, and financial services. She is interning directly under the VP of Community Relations with Wachovia Foundation.

Amrit Singh is Business major who speaks four languages. He has started his own successful bartending business and is an active member of the California Investment Association. He is interested in pursuing a career in investment banking. He is interning with Merrill Lynch.

Gary is an African American Studies major and a musician who intends to have a career in the music industry. He is a composer, a band-leader, and has played in numerous performances all over the SF Bay Area. He is interested in getting corporate work experience.

Rigo’s has outstanding writing and verbal communication skills and has a passion for giving back to underserved communities.

Rogelio Medina is an intended Economics major. He is a Gates Millennium Scholar and has participated in the Summer Medical Educational Program at Yale Medical School. He is interested in biomedical research and is pursuing a career that will combine economics, business and healthcare.

Jose Padilla is an intended Business and Film double major. He has extensive work experience, can speak and write in Spanish, and currently holds a position in the Latino Business Student Association and the UC Berkeley Student Film Organization. He is pursuing a career in accounting and finance.

AJ Almaguer is a Mechanical Engineering major. He is currently the Vice President of Recruitment for the Hispanic Engineers & Scientists student group and is working on leading a mentoring program with Latino elementary students. He is interning at Granite Construction.

Evelyn is a Psychology major. She is interested in exploring careers in the medical field. She is the health worker in her dorm and she was also an intern at the African American Student Development Office. She is interning with Patelco Credit Union in their strategic planning department. .

She is an outreach coordinator for bridges Multicultural Center and she serves as a mentor for an Oakland high school. She hopes that an internship will help narrow her wide range of career interests.

She is currently working as a production assistant with Cal Performances. She is interested in television and broadcast production.

In addition to excellent work experience, Ashley is very involved in two student groups where she is the VP of Community Service for the Latino Business Student Association and the VP of Corporate Relations for Berkeley Women in Business.

Kevin is an Astrophysics and Planetary Science major with a creative mind. His interest lies in discovering the unknown specifically regarding space and time. Kevin plans to be an Astrophysicist. He is currently a lab assistant in the Psychology Department.

Gaia is an intended Business Administration major who is interested in all facets of business, including: marketing, accounting, consulting and finance. She has excellent communication and time management skills and is hoping to gain further insight into different businesses related fields through her college career.
